Diamond in the ruff

This morning while on the treadmill at home, I suddenly burst into tears.  How awkward!  I wasn't sad though.  They were happy tears.  It's such an overwhelming feeling when you think the worst of yourself and God tells you himself how much He loves you and how lovely of a person He is forming in you.  I love it when God addresses the very issues you hold in your mind about you and about your life.  You try to express it to others and they become frustrated because they don't understand.  But God does.  No one can console you like He can.

Don't be discouraged when you have a diamond inside of you and no one can see it shining.  It has to be dug up.  He has to get all the dirt off of it.  Just be patient.  Let it take its proper course until it burst out of you and the world can't help but recognize it!

And why are you afraid to be different, to stand out, or to go against the norm? Your differences are designed to reach a set of people who otherwise may have missed their opportunity to be free, had you not accepted your freedom to be exactly who God wants you to be.

Be diligent, be obedient, be faithful...but don't forget to be you:  a diamond in the ruff.

Amen from Orlando! And just like no two diamonds are the same, no two people are the same. I am grateful for that that makes me unique! I am proud of that that makes me who I am! And I am blessed that the Good Lord is in my life!
