History in motion

Yesterday was one of the most historic days history has ever known, not just in America, but in the world. And as I am, I'm sure all of you are equally delighted to have been able to live to see it and experience it. After a 2-year long campaign with many ups and downs, twists and turns, Barack Obama, an African-American, has won himself the White House. I stand to be corrected; Not just himself, but all minorities and majorities alike who were ready for a change in our nation. Who would have thought our 44th American President would be black? It's amazing that my generation is able to be a part of this experience. We have something great to share with those coming behind us.

While I don't agree with everything Obama agrees with, one thing remains clearly evident. He was America's choice in being the one who had the better chance at bringing the nation out of its despair which plagued us by the administration of those before him. Obama most definitely needs our prayers. He needs prayer for protection and guidance to lead us in the right direction.

This is a great moment in time. May he live out his full term and bring dignity and strength back to America. May he be our present day Joseph and take heed to the direction of God and not corrupted minds. May everyone who plans to do him evil fall into their own pits they dug for him, and they fail. May God bless America, until all our work here is done!
