One of the hardest things to do while trying to create "Project C" (my upcoming online mag) is staying motivated. So far I've managed to keep motivated enough where I don't feel like quitting. I'm sure I'll have those days in the future, but so far so good. When you have something so precious you want to make sure you treat it with the utmost detail and care so it doesn't get bruised or damaged. And that can be a tiring thing. I've found myself getting a bit lazy, and nervous as to how I'm going to pull it off with my busy schedule (working full-time, running a side business, and enrolling back in grad school). But what's encouraging is that I have people in my corner who appear to be more excited about it than me and they keep bugging me about it. It keeps me on my toes! So thank you folks...you know who you are!
Anyhoo, I thought to let you know that a couple weeks ago, I went to Florida to get my first story for the mag (while on vacation). And while I was there I got another story idea and began working on that one as well. So, I am making progress...slower than I'd like, but I'm getting there. I have a couple places I want to visit next year to go get a few more stories (including Japan and the Philippines). Yes...I'm taking this thing across the globe. :-) That is my goal and I won't back down from it.
The mag is not scheduled to publish online until mid or late next year, so we have time yet. I will keep you guys posted on my adventures and progress. The next order of business is to find a company that can create the logo and a savvy website that you'll never want to leave! :-)
(Sidenote: Remember, we will refer to my online mag as "Project C" until I can disclose the name of it.)
