Life's twists and turns

Transitioning is never really easy to do, but something we all have to do in life...some of us more than others. Personally, I've had to undergo many transitions and realize that there will be many more to go through. But what I love about transitioning is that when God is the force behind the transition, people can speak against it, share their disbeliefs, and even create stumblingblocks in front of you, but they can't stop the transition. And even in failing because of mistakes, yet the transition does not stop. Some people are comfortable with where they are and don't feel an urgency to move up. There are those of us who take the passive approach to life & situations, and those who take the aggressive and initiative approach. Neither one of these are inaccurate; however, I don't believe that we can only take one of these approaches for every situation. Different situations in our lives require a different approach. We have to be aware of that, and be ready to transition into that approach in order to get the desired result.

I don't know about anybody else, but I have a lot to live up to. A passive approach can not get me there...especially this late in the game. For the past few weeks, I have been led to the story of David & his journey before he became King. I've been reading over it and have seen some relevance in his journey as in mine. And most of all, I've learned through his story that fighting a battle does not always require an entire army. Sometimes, it's just you and your staff. Or you, and your slingshot & rocks. And although one of David's greatest known enemies was such a great giant, it wasn't the size of his weapon that ever mattered. It was his confidence and experience in using it. And in his being separated from his brothers, out tending the sheep, he learned the art of battling, gained confidence in the weapons God gave him, and the power to win and succeed. I think that's awesome!
